WUA Callout for Volunteers!

She:kon from the ancestral homelands of the Kanien'kehá:ka

The WaterfallUnityAlliance wishes you a happy belated summer solstice! The energies of this solstice has brought us frequencies of transformation and transcendence. As we step into this Summer Season, we are excited to experience all the gifts that Iotsi’tsisons Forever Farm has to show us. Join us this Summer in celebration at the Storytelling Festival and the WaterfallUnity Festival this July!

This week, we are calling out to our supporters seeking a team of volunteers to assist in the execution of our upcoming events in July. Beginning July 16th, volunteers are welcome on an ongoing basis to come to Skóhare to assist in our various hands-on needs for the preparation of the festivals. All volunteers are welcome to camp onsite by the longhouse. Things we need assistance with include: berry picking, clearing trails, sail shade installation, making/putting up signs, setting up tables & tents, etc.. Send us an email to confirm your arrival, or with any questions.

Additionally, we have volunteer departments that we are calling for people to assist with during the 2023 WaterfallUnity Festival. We encourage all who are volunteering in these departments to come July 20th prepared to camp prior to the arrival of attendees. Volunteer departments include: Greet Guests, Parking, Food, Artist Liaisons, Tarpology, Security, Stage Manager, Nourishment Coordinator, Vendor Coordinator & Volunteer Coordinator. Register for the festival to learn more and let us know you are coming! Niawenko:wa in advance to all who volunteer your time and presence.

We have partnered with Permatours, an organization rooted in the love of our Mother Earth, for the manifestation of this year's WaterfallUnity Festival. Their organization is focused on creating a sustainable future and harmonious way of life. The Permatours team has been such a joy to work with these past several months. On July 13th, Permatours is hosting a WaterfallUnity Festival Event Preparation zoom. We encourage all volunteers to attend this meeting.

All who will join us to volunteer will be sure to make lasting memories and connections. We look forward to getting to know our supporters deeper and welcoming you to the ancestral homelands of the Kanien'kehá:ka.

We hope this week's newsletter inspired you today. As always, the WaterfallUnityAlliance says nia:wen to you for your support. Be sure to check out our Facebook page, Instagram, website and Tiktok located below.
